About our Medium Freeze Dryers
Medium freeze dryers, also known as benchtop or laboratory freeze dryers, are devices used to preserve a variety of materials through a process known as lyophilization. This process involves freezing the material, then reducing the surrounding pressure and adding heat to sublimate, or transition, the frozen water or solvent within the material to a vapor form. This effectively removes the moisture from the material and preserves it for an extended period of time. Medium freeze dryers are typically smaller in size and capacity than industrial freeze dryers and are designed for use in laboratory or small-scale production settings. They often feature a variety of controls and settings for precise temperature and pressure regulation, as well as the ability to monitor and document the lyophilization process. These devices are commonly used in the pharmaceutical, food, and biotech industries to preserve samples, cultures, and other materials.
