FAQ
I am having trouble cutting smaller branches with the LS8 Chainsaw model. If you are having trouble with smaller branches, turn the chainsaw on prior to cutting the smaller branches.
How much hydraulic fluid will I use from equipment for the oiler on the LS8 chainsaw model? You need to properly adjust the oiler to your equipment upon receipt of your saw. When properly adjusted, the oiler should be a slow trickle at the right adjustment. It should not be dripping. If the oiler is adjusted properly, you should be able to make roughly 400 cuts to 1 quart of oil.
Can I upgrade my bar and chain on the LS8 chainsaw model? Yes, but make sure it has a standard Stihl mounting pattern.
If using the original chain, make sure the bar has the standard specs that work with our chain.
What are the chain specs for the LS8 chainsaw model? Chain: 20" .325 .063 81DL ( semi-chiseled chain)
Bar: 20” (rotary tip/nose with a built in sprocket tip)
I took apart the motor to my LS8 chainsaw. How do I put it back together? Motor, #49 Arbor Shim, #11 Sprocket, #12 Key Way, #48 Flat Washer, #13 Shaft Collar
Which hose is the supply and return for the LS8 chainsaw model? The hose with the oiler is the supply.
What size chainsaw file will sharpen the chain to the LS8 chainsaw model? . 325 pitch chains will need a 5/32 (4mm) chainsaw chain file to sharpen the chain
Why is the chain guide wider than the bar and rubbing up against the chain? The chain guide was designed this way for a reason. The first couple of times you use your saw, the chain will cut grooves into the 3D printed plastic chain guide that has been custom made for our chainsaw. It protects the links from jumping off the bar when using the saw.
How low can the LS8 chainsaw model cut? If you tilt your bucket correctly, you should be able to go to the ground. However, you want to be careful.

Really didn't need the Deep cut but figured I would take that route as future-proofing needs and figured this was the top-of-the-line unit.

What a nice piece of machinery. I’ve used a few times on both soft and hardwood. The finished product is smooth with very little sanding required. I’ve had a bit of snipe at the end of some longer boards but it’s negligible and to be honest it’s probably my lack of patience. Nice addition to my small hobby shop. Well worth the money.
bartell has to be the worst company to deal with, they do not have service manuals available on their website, service is not great. their equipment is not build to withstand construction applications. the manuals you can find are super cryptic and drawn out by a toddler. it's too bad i can't leave a lower score i feel like one star is still too good for them. get your stuff figured out guys, stop slapping your name on chinese garbage
Awesome bucket, could use some better hose management
Love the build of the bucket itself, and the extra reach from the front-dump feature is really nice. However, the way they routed the hydraulic hoses by default left them dragging on the ground when scraping with the bucket. We had to add some loops to keep them from dragging. Otherwise, great product!
